BioBazar is a market of abundant flavours, direct contact with farmers, breeders and producers, tastings – it’s more than just shopping!
Under one roof, you will find over 25,000 products from nearly 60 exhibitors.
We are not a typical market; there is a lot that sets us apart. Our stalls mainly offer certified organic products. We operate in Warsaw in the revitalised Norblin Factory, as well as in Katowice. It is a place for shopping, as well as various events and meetings with interesting people. We build relationships with our guests and exhibitors, and these relationships are our driving force. You can follow the latest news about BioBazar on our regularly updated website and on social media.
Ecology, craftsmanship, tradition
We offer seasonal and local products, as well as delicacies from around the world. Vegetables, fruit, meat, cold cuts, freshly baked bread, cheese, eggs – we have it all in abundance! Most of our assortment consists of certified organic products, and we also have a large selection of artisanal and traditional products, including brilliant canned tuna with Dolphin Safe certification, Italian cold cuts and French cheeses with protected designation of origin, beef steaks from award-winning farms, and game from Polish forests. BioBazar is a place where you can experience the charms of the culinary traditions of different countries – we have organic and artisan products from Italy, Portugal, Greece, France and Spain.
The fish stalls at BioBazar enjoy unflagging popularity – a thorough selection of fresh fish and seafood from certified fisheries and farms, including organic, Label Rouge, MSC and ASC certification.
Culinary adventure
BioBazar loves to surprise, so among the well-known and beloved flavours, you can discover new culinary lands at every turn. Aged sardines in tins, sourdough rolls made from pickled cucumbers, organic toast bread with an ingenious composition, buffalo milk dairy products, Mexican tomatillos, pheasant eggs, apple honey – impressive, right? And we assure you that we have more!
Our market has a brilliant restaurant, Minute Steak Corner, and the JAVA Cafe is also open 7 days a week.
Seasonal pleasures
In spring, BioBazar turns into a vegetable Eldorado! Greens straight from the field, wild garlic, herbs, popular varieties of lettuce and lesser-known ones such as epazote, clitoria and radichetta. Wild plants – great for infusions or stuffing. Our exhibitors collect nettles, ivy, ground elder, dandelions and sorrel, and in summer, aromatic mirabelle plums and chanterelles from the forest appear…
In late summer, you can count on tasting single-variety apple juices – trying juices from the fruit of century-old apple trees is a real treat, and you can discover whether you like Grafsztynek, Antonówka or Kronselka the most.
The height of summer is also tomato season, and here again we have more! Not only the well-known raspberry, Lima and cocktail tomatoes, but also Dromader tomatoes straight from the field, purple Carbony tomatoes and monumental Beefsteak tomatoes.
Autumn, in turn, brings mushrooms from the forest, the purple colours of organic aubergines, plums, grapes and figs.
Throughout the winter, you can buy organic mushrooms from Dąbrówka – ones that have grown on rich organic soil, firm and aromatic! When it’s cold outside, pickled products are always popular – you can also choose from a wide range of them at our market – there are classics, but also crazy, unusual options such as pear kimchi or pickled watermelon.
What’s happening at BioBazar
During the spring and summer season, our exhibitors fry Spanish paella in the outdoor Werner Passage – its aroma attracts visitors from afar, and its taste is unforgettable. We organise themed culinary festivals, which attract more and more visitors every year. It is also an opportunity to get to know each other better. Tasting tables and live cooking events are regularly organised in our hall.
You won’t leave here hungry!
Our market also offers a wide range of ready-made dishes. Traditional, well-known Polish flavours such as wheat or spelt flour dumplings with traditional or purely plant-based, vegan fillings. Classics such as Russian dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms or cheese, but also unusual seasonal flavours available for a few weeks a year, such as those with asparagus, broad beans, chanterelles or roast goose. Pancakes with locally farmed catfish, soups and stews in jars that you can take with you on holiday. Lots of options to eat on the spot or reheat at work or at home.
